Product Description
"A lifted candied nose of jubes, chocolate and vanilla, leather and spice. The palate is soft and generous with plum and berry fruits, supported with leather, spice and game, wrapped in quality oak that aids in a persistent length with fine tannins.
Recommended Food:
Sweet-fruited and smooth on the palate, it makes a good partner for a pepper steak, pan-fried medium rare and served with shoestring fries.
Recommended Cellaring: 2-6 years
Production Notes:
The grapes were harvested, crushed and fermented on skins. Frequent pump-overs during ferment aided the extraction of colour and tannin. The wine was then run off into a blend of new and old American oak. The wine spent 9 months aging in barrel then was blended and bottled with minimal filtration."
